5 Steps To Make Your Hair Look Thicker

The human hair grows from two to six years. At any other period, about 90% of our hair grows,  while the rest is on standby, in a so- called telogen phase which lasts two to six months, before it falls. The hair follicle then stands still for three months before repeating the whole process.

The hair is extremely sensitive.

Hair cells are the second according to the speed of growth in the body, just after the ones of the bone marrow, so that the hair is first susceptible to stressogenic reactions and can alert the symptoms of some diseases.

The structure of the hair, which, although can not change or grow overnight, can be influenced to grow thicker and healthier hair. To achieve this, you need to do some changes in the way of living.

First -- You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. The Clinic for hair problems “Mayo” recommends consuming 13 glasses of water in adult men and 9 cups of water in adult women.

Water is vital for hair because it distributes all the necessary nutrients to all cells and tissues in the body and allows cleansing the body of toxins.

Second -- You should eat lean proteins. They are made of keratin and amino acids. In fact, the hair is made of keratin, so the food should be rich with such proteins found in fish, chicken breast, skim milk, soy and egg whites.

Third – You need to give up smoking. In a study conducted by the medical team at the University of Michigan, USA, it was showed that smoking affects the reduction of essential nutrients in the body that are necessary for hair growth and can cause hair loss.

Fourth-- You should avoid hair straightening irons because of the enormous heat that will cause hair damage.

Dr. Glenn Charles, a specialist in problems with hair and a member of the International Association of medical specialists in regeneration of hair, recommended hair drying with a towel whenever possible, and if necessary, using a brush and a hair dryer less frequently, without straightening procedures and using any other type of heated hair irons. This will help your hair to avoid unnatural stress.

Fifth-- You should take multivitamins each morning.

Although cereals, if consumed in the morning with freshly squeezed juice, will provide many vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy hair, multivitamins will supplement the body with those nutrients that are deficient or difficult to absorb. Deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, proteins and other nutrients can cause thinning of the hair.
